Camp Offerings
Because this is a restorative we want you to know that it's up to you how much you do, or do not do. We encourage you to listen to yourself so you come away rejuvenated. This year's offerings will work with the energies of the death card.
We encourage all participants to consider doing an offering, something you want to share or teach. This year we will spend Saturday morning with NO offerings except a grounding in restoration and invitation to spa magic and/or art in the art house. Spend the morning around the pool, reading in the library, hiking to the standing stones, or playing the fool in the art house.
We will be posting more offerings in March when we begin registration, and there will be more added even as we gather.
An annual favorite, we will also be doing a Divination Tea Party which expands our knowledge of the tarot and give us an opportunity to share the decks and methods of divination that inspire us. Be sure to bring your coolest decks and a special tea cup.
ART HOUSE
There is a art house with screen windows all around for light and good ventilation. There are plenty of materials to do with what you will. If you have an art project that you would like to do as an offering, please let us know so we can let other campers know in advance and bring materials for yourself and others as needed, or let us know what campers should bring with to join in.

Death Year Collage Workshop
As we come to the culmination of our year with the Death card, I have pondered how the death of loved ones have affected me; my own death (composted?); and what awaits me after I die. I have also my fear of death as a traumatic transition, or a timely rebirth into something new. Please join me in making small format collages about your journey with death, whether you have been thinking about for a long time, or as an outcome of your Fool’s Journey retreat. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring any images that you find that speak to you and want their voice heard.
SACRED SPA MAGIC
Deborah Oak will once again priestess the magic of restoration. We intend A Fool’s Journey to be a restorative. One way we create that that is by invoking spa energy. The best spas in the world work with the power of the elements; Earth, Fire, Water and Air. Our sacred spa magic will incorporate seaweed wraps, clay masks, steam, rosewater toners, facial and body scrubs of salt, sugar and herbs, and a variety of other delightful concoctions. Working with the elements we relax around the pool and also restore our spirit and skin. All of this will be available throughout the retreat, but there will be a designated gathering on Friday to both introduce the spa essentials and also bless them. Pampering yourself is a magical act!
TAROT 101 WITH ROSE
Each year, we have several folks join us who are unfamiliar with Tarot, or just want to take a deeper dive into the meanings of the cards and the steps along the way of the Fool's Journey. And thus Tarot 101 was born! A reader and teacher for many years, Rose will take us on a journey through the stories the cards tell. The emphasis in this class is on understanding the basic symbology and developing intuition for interpretation. It's taught salon style, in a relaxed atmosphere where serious questions, crazy ideas and raucous laughter are all welcome. Bring your journal and a favorite RWS style deck, or grab one of the many decks in the library to borrow.
BEDTIME STORIES WITH BREAD
There is something magical and very relaxing about being read to. Since I was a child I have loved having someone read to me before I sleep, and as a parent I loved reading to my children. Again this year, we will gather in the late evening, with a cup of tea, perhaps with a blanket or in our PJs, to hear fantastic tales to send us off into the land of dreams, our very own (s)hero’s tales. Together we will weave the storyteller’s magic of myth and legend that is as old as time.
